The third annual Mich-Ohio Sportfishing Expo will be held on Saturday February 13 (9AM-8PM) & Sunday February 14 (9AM-5PM), 2010 in the MBT Expo Center at the Monroe County Fairgrounds. The fairgrounds are located on M-50 just west of Monroe, Michigan. This year 70+ vendors will display rods, reels, lures of all types, fishing boats, marine equipment and much, much more. Special Expo prices will be in effect. Catered food and drinks will be available.
Several, well known, professional fishermen will give free seminars. Capt.Paul Curmi on jigging, hand lining and trolling crawler harnesses for Walleye; Capt. Ron Levitan on trolling spoons and body baits for Walleye on Lake Erie; Capt. Jay Frolenko on deep water Salmon fishing and river Steelhead fishing; Capt.Don Miller on trolling for Great Lakes Musky ; Ged Strazinski, from Yeck Lures, on Tournament Salmon tactics and slow trolling spoons for Walleye; Doug Samsal on casting for Smallmouth Bass and Musky.
This event features free parking; door prizes that include gift certificates, rods ,reels, lures; demonstrations of lure making; try the fishing simulator; used tackle table; and a free crawler harness for the kids.
Admission is $5 for adults, kids 12 and under free. A freefishing lure will be given to the first 100 paid admissions each day. Saturday hours are 9am to 8pm, Sunday hours are 9am to 5pm. Go to www.mich-ohio.com for more information.
