A free seminar will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday March 11 at La-Z-Boy Center at Monroe County Community College, 1555 S. Raisinville Rd.
The program is called There is HOPE: Housing Options / Problem Erasing. The event is aimed at Monroe County residents who are hoping to buy their first home, struggling with debt, trying to save their home from foreclosure or having problems making ends meet.
The keynote speaker is State Sen. Randy Richardville, R-Monroe. There will be breakout sessions starting at 6 p.m. on a variety of topics, and booths set up around the atrium with information and handouts that offer resources.
The event is sponsored by Monroe County Association of Realtors, Monroe County Opportunity Program and The Monroe Evening News.
