The Salvation Army of Monroe County will hold its annual Summer Day Camp Program from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays from July 14-Aug. 12 at the Salvation Army Church, 1018 E. Second St.
The Christian summer day camp provides quality programming in a positive, constructive and enriching environment. It is designed for children in kindergarten through sixth grade (as of the fall of 2008 school year), regardless of religious faith or beliefs.
It will consist of structured activities, games, special events and lots of caring, fun and laughter. Children will learn to see their value in the eyes of God through field trips, sports, crafts, Bible stories and music.
A nutritious lunch will be provided daily at the camp.
There is a $10 registration cost due at the time of registration. The fee for day camp is $2 per day per child.
Registrations can be made at the Salvation Family Manor, located at 815 E. First St., next to Barron Oil. Days and times of registration are Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to noon and/or 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
