Not to take anything away from him, but it will be much harder to repeat. (especially at presumably a higher weight in the years to come.)  But I know that I for one will be there to cheer him on.

Congrats to Mitch but want to let KeepitPositive know there is a 4 time champ already from Bedford.  He is a 2009 grad Nick Whitenburg. He placed at States all 4 years!!

Yes, he PLACED 4 times. But he was NEVER a state champion.

He lost 10-9 in the finals to a kid from Lake Orion his senior year (41-3)
He was 7th (but injured) as a junior. (54-8)
5th as a sophomore (44-9)
6th as a Frosh. (29-22)

Career record 168-42 Just under an 80% win percentage, truly fun to watch wrestler, but never a state champ.
