Well it's interesting how diverse the opinions are on a simple issue like the style of a mans swimsuit length.
The original question was a simple one. I am sure that the only correct answer is, it's all about the style and trend of the day.
From the responses of some and if they had their way, the latest in Olympic swim wear would be classified as inappropriate for prime time viewing.

That say more than you think.  There are people who whould say the attire of the olympics was inappropriate for all.  My problem with that is when they don't say we.  If I am offended by what I see on TV I change the channel.  I have two kids...I am responsible for ensureing they are exposed to only those things deemed appropriate by MY family.  How can you be insulted if you don't engage? I don't care if the men all done bright orange and green borat suits.  I can choose to look or not...What I deem modest someone else deems immodest and vice versa.

I have no problem with you changing the channel if you disagree with what is on that station which is fine and should be the American standard.
The problem I have are for those that demand, not you, programs be censored for all, because of their own personal values. Those people don't want to just change the channel or use their TVs parental controls to prevent that channel from being viewed.

If we consider swimsuits art, then anything that would encourage conversation would be acceptable.

Ohhhh the shock of it all!
In the Monroe Sunday Sports front page in living color the other extreme men's swim suit. Now can't men find a middle ground between below the knee and speedos?

Yes we know the one in the news was for competition and is accepted and that is OK.
