New Bedford Academy MEAP Scores.
« on: March 15, 2013, 12:39:41 PM »
I looked at the MEAP scores today and saw the scores from NBA.  I got a huge shock.  Last year this school out performed BPS in some areas and did the same in others.  I am NOT bashing this school but it is a public school and it does use our tax money to operate so I think some attention needs to be paid.

In grade 6...60.6% of the MEAP participants did NOT meet the standard for Math, 21.6% did not meet for Reading and 60.5% did not meet for Social Studies......For grades 7 and 8 they are just as bad.

The principal of this school is considered to be a district superintendant as far as accountability goes.....

Charter schools are in business to make money for the people that start them up.  That is all!

Isn't New Bedford Academy chartered by a Ferris State University?

Look, if the school isn't performing to the satisfaction of the parents with children enrolled in there, then those parents should transfer their children to BPS. If enough parents do that, then NBA closes.
